During a group bike ride, I fell trying to avoid someone who fell in front of me! I landed on the upper part of my mouth, which fractured the maxilla bone and broke five teeth – all of which completely fell out! My friend immediately called my house number and could not reach my husband.I was able to indicate that I was wearing an Ankle ID, which she then used to contact him through his cell phone. Thankfully, this allowed him to meet us at the hospital.
Update: I’m still on the road to recovery, but I’m doing well. I am currently working with an oral surgeon to get implants and a five-tooth bridge. And yes, I've already been out riding this year. Woo-hoo!
