I definitely advise everyone to get a Road ID

While visiting my daughter and her husband in Austin, TX, I suffered a subdural hematoma (bleeding between my skull and brain), which rendered me unconscious.
While visiting my daughter and her husband in Austin, TX, I suffered a subdural hematoma (bleeding between my skull and brain), which rendered me unconscious. I could hear but could not talk, see, or walk. I remember hearing my daughter ask her husband if they should call the medics. Iwas thinking yes, but I could not talk or see.

They quickly called for help, and as they were loading me into the ambulance, my daughter alerted them to the Road ID on my wrist. They were able to retrieve all my medical information very easily. Long story short, I turned a 4 day trip into a 6-1/2 week stay at St. David’s Hospital. I am doing much better now, but I would definitely advise everyone to get a Road ID.
