A few months ago, I was in a roll-over car accident with my 20 month old daughter in the back seat. I was 6 months pregnant at the time. The way the accident happened, I wound up with my head pinned under the truck and my neck was broken.I had originally purchased a Road ID for when I went running, but after my daughter was born, I purchased her a Road ID to wear on her ankle when we went to public places like the zoo, or on long trips. That morning, she was the one who remembered and brought it to me to put on her.
I am told I was conscious throughout the extraction, but I don't have any recollection. The first passer-by that stopped to help pulled my daughter from the truck. My tiny daughter was taken to a hospital two hours away
