On a quiet Friday evening I was riding in Charlotte, North Carolina. 256 miles from home, a car slammed into me. Fortunately, I remained conscious and was able to tell the paramedics my name. I was also able to answer personal medical questions that the ER needed to know before they could treat my injuries. The policeimmediately notified my wife in Marietta.
This close call made me aware of the importance of ID. What if I had been unconscious? I don't even want to think how long it would have taken for my wife to find me. In the near future, I will be riding again, but not without my Road ID.
