Two weeks ago , I had a freak cycling accident and broke my acetabulum (hip socket) in two places. The first person to arrive was a off duty EMT. She saw my Road ID and congratulated me for wearing it as she was going through her examination to determine the extent of my injuries.
The ambulance arrived and those EMT’s echoed the thoughts of the first EMT. I heard them say they wished more people would wear them.
Fortunately (for me) the EMT’s didn’t have to call Road ID for information about me as I suffered no head injuries and was able answer any questions they had.
