It's a good thing I finally got a Road ID this summer. I was out for a ride recently when I was hit from behind by a Hummer. I was badly injured and unconscious. Thanks to my Road ID I had all my contact information right there on my wrist. It did its job: when I arrived at the hospital, my family was there waiting for me, and my medical care wasn't sacrificed because of lack of information.
I can only imagine what would have happened if I wasn't wearing my Wrist ID...I had my phone, but it would have been no use to first responders because it was locked. They would have had no idea who I was, or who to call. I'm just so glad I had my Road ID.
