I just wanted to say thank you. Emergency services had to use my Road ID recently.
I crashed when I lost my front wheel due to heavy rain and new traffic line markings. A few bystanders came to my aid and used my ID to contact my wife and let her know I had crashed and was injured, but okay. The ambulance used it to identify me, then used itagain to let my wife know I was on my way to the hospital. Once in the Emergency Room, the administration clerk used it to fill out the consent form as I was heavily sedated.
I ended up in surgery due to a broken femur, but was comforted by the fact that my wife and family knew where I was and that I was okay.
