About a month ago, my husband was riding his bike home from work when he was hit by a car. He dislocated a cervical vertebrae and shattered three more upon impact with the pavement. His quick reflexes to tuck and roll over the hood of the car and roll down his shoulders and back saved him from massive head trauma, and his backpack saved him from significant skin damage. His Road ID helped save his life as well.Because of his RoadID, I was called less than a minute after the crash and was able to rush to be with him right away. His Road ID also enabled the ambulance crew to tag him clearly with a life-threatening penicillin allergy so that the ER would know immediately when treating his wounds.
