When I received my first Road ID, I thought it was a great idea, but I never thought I would need it. Well, I was in Virginia this past year for a ride and found myself in the hospital. I was unconscious when I arrived and did not wake for nearly 30 minutes. The ER doctor used my Road ID to access the medical records in my Emergency Response Profile. Because of this, my diagnosis and treatment for severe dehydration began almost immediately.
