I ride 150 miles for the American Diabetes Association New England Classic Tour de Cure. I am a type 1diabetic. I was riding in York Maine near the beach. There were a few of us. My husband was following in traffic. A lady opened her car door to allow her kids out. Another car put his brakes on but I was clipped in going 20 something miles an hour. Down I went. Traffic backed up as EMS was on way. My husband could see the back up going it wasn't a rider on the tour then my alarm went off on his phone. I was stationary. They took me to the hospital anyway but I was able to continue my ride. We saw the advertisement watching the Tour de France. I'll ride again July 14-15, 2018 150 miles.
