My accident was about 8 years ago. We were in a group of about 30 riders when one rider in the front slammed on the breaks suddenly.
I thought I was clear when a fellow rider from my team took out my front wheel at 20 MPH and I went head first down onto the black-top pavement. I was out for 15 minutes then came to when the ambulance arrived.
The attendants used my ROAD iD to determine my blood type and that I was diabetic and then contacted my wife to let her know I was in route to the hospital.
I have recovered from my injuries and am still riding at 71 years young, thanks to ROAD iD!
