I purchased a Road ID bracelet for my husband in April. He has recently lost his ability to drive and now relies on a walker to get around the neighborhood, but he is still resisting the idea of using the walker.
Three days ago he chose not to use his walker for his afternoon walk. He fell about 3 houses away. Three alert teens in the neighborhood saw him and called 911. The fire department responded, and was able to notify me because of the information on his ID. I was able to have my car there within 30 seconds.
What would have happened if it wasn't for the quick thinking and follow-through of the neighbor kids, our community services, and the identification on his wrist?
