We see our fair share of quotes, mottos and catchphrases engraved on ROAD iD's stainless steel faceplates. Many people choose motivational phrases, (Never Give Up is a popular one) or funny reminders (Run Now, Wine Later gets us every time.)
But one customer took it to a whole new level with four life-changing words: Will You Marry Me?
Devon Duffy had been dropping hints about a new ROAD iD to her then-boyfriend, Dean Koskinas, for a few months.
“He knew I had been wanting a rose gold faceplate to match my Garmin,” Devon said.
Dean figured it was the perfect opportunity to pop the question. He ordered Devon's ROAD iD in December and even changed her last name to Koskinas on the new ID.
The big moment happened in January at the couple’s favorite place, Walt Disney World. With the ROAD iD and ring in-tow, Dean put his plan into action.
“He told me my last name was accidentally spelled wrong,” Devon said of the moment Dean handed her the ID. But she quickly realized it wasn’t actually a mistake.
“I saw the name first, then the ‘will you marry me’ at the bottom,” Devon recalled.
Devon, of course, said Yes.
The couple will say ROAD i Do later this year.
