You never know when something might happen…

I was recently on a 40 mile ride in Phoenix when I stopped to get a drink. The next thing I know, I’m in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. Because I was wearing my Road ID, my wife found out where I was very quickly -- no panicked calls to the police, emergency staffs, or hospitals inquiring where I was.

Because I was wearing my Road ID, my wife found out where I was very quickly -- no panicked calls to the police, emergency staffs, or hospitals inquiring where I was. My wife does notknow the courses I ride, so without my Road ID, she would not have known what happened until I was fully cognizant and coherent, which might have been hours later.

Having phone numbers to notify your loved ones is crucial. Needless to say, I wear my Road ID on every ride and every snowboard run -- you never know when something might happen.
