I will not leave the house without my Road ID. A few years ago, I was out for a bike ride with my daughter and her husband. The roads were damp, and when I crossed some railroad tracks, my front wheel got stuck and I went down fast. I hit my head and was knocked unconscious.My daughter immediately called 911. When I woke up, paramedicswere loading me into an ambulance to head to the trauma center. There, hospital staff used my Interactive Road ID to access my Emergency Response Profile. They were able to provide me better care because they had access to my full medical history.
This was the second time my Road ID was utilized in an emergency situation, and I will not ride without it!
