I woke up in the hospital confused

I was riding in NYC one glorious September morning, when the next thing I knew, I was lying in a hospital bed, waking up to the confusing site of my daughter and two nieces standing in a darkened room. I didn't know where I was or why they were there.
I was riding in NYC one glorious September morning, when the next thing I knew, I was lying in a hospital bed, waking up to the confusing site of my daughter and two nieces standing in a darkened room. I didn't know where I was or why they were there.

Witnesses to my accident state that a man on a bike swerved into me, knocked my wheels out from under me, and landed on me as my bicycle and body slammed into a wall. My helmet cracked, and my rib, collar bone and pelvis were broken. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and was unconscious. Thankfully, my Road ID provided the necessary information for my husband and sons to be contacted and meet me at the hospital.

I was in the ICU for a week and sent to another hospital for two weeks of rehabilitation. After 4 months I returned to work, after 1 year I started driving again, and just last week I road my bicycle for the first time, my orange Road ID prominently displayed on my wrist!
