You never know when the unexpected might happen. I never thought anything "extreme" would happen to me. I was just 17 years old, walking my dog on a country road, when I was struck by a car and my life was nearly taken from me. I suffered a traumatic brain injury, every bone in my face was broken, a fractured femur, and I laid in a coma for three weeks. I did not know of Road ID back then at that time and the only reason my parents were aware of the accident was because it was only up the road from our home. A few years later, and I am now running marathons, cycling, and kayaking again. I learned of Road ID after my accident and I will never leave the house without it. It gives me, as well as my family, peace of mind.
